Camp leaders play a key role on our team. We cannot run a successful camp without them. Interested in what it takes to help at Community Youth Camp? Here are the basics.

Camp Leaders

Campers will be divided into age groups as they learn from coaches, athletes and teachers in our community. Camp leaders are camp counselors that are a to support, guide and help campers get the most out of their experience. 

Camp Leader Responsibilities

  • Guide campers through a four-day program 

  • Help coaches and athletes teach the basics of 16 sports

  • Demonstrate the value of life skills like teamwork, confidence and overcoming adversity

  • Network with sport instructors and volunteers in the community

  • Develop leadership skills through first-hand experience  

Who can be a Camp Leader/Camp Counselor?

15-22 Year Olds (High School & College Students)

Who can be a Camp Leader Captain?

18 and older. Camp leader captains are eligible for a $350/week stipend. 

Applications Are Now Open. All camp counselors will receive a daily lunch and camp t-shirt. 

Volunteers

Want to give back to the community and pay it forward? Register to be a Community Youth Camp Volunteer! Volunteer shifts are open to ages 14+. Because Community Youth Camp is a high energy environment, be prepared to be active and participate in sport lessons. All volunteers must complete a background check and shifts are contingent on successful completion of the background check.
